Each axis is configured with dual rails and four sliding blocks. This type of configuration has the following benefits.
Load Capacity
This structure distributes the load more evenly across two parallel rails and four sliders, which can increase the total load each axis can handle.
Wear & Lifespan
Spreading the load over more contact points significantly lowers the stress and wear on each rail and slider, which can extend the lifespan of the overall system.
Rigidity & Stability
It provides higher resistance to moments/torques and bending forces acting on the platform. This minimizes deflection and vibration during movement, acceleration, and deacceleration.
Motion Accuracy
It reduces vibration, chatter and potential for "stick-slip" motion.
